Natalie Flores, LCSW

Ms. Natalie Flores is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing psychotherapy for more than 10 years and provides therapy for children, teens and adults. A strengths-based therapist, Ms. Flores uses CBT as well as mindfulness-based techniques for mood and adjustment problems, crisis intervention, grief and bereavement, anxiety and relationship problems for adults, as well as in her work with children and families.

Ms. Flores worked for nearly a decade with young people admitted to the Behavioral Health Unit at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans where she developed her approach to mental health treatment and diagnostics through years of collaborative participation within a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinical social workers, recreational therapists and psychologists.

Ms. Flores received her social work training at Louisiana State University, where she received her master’s degree and bachelor’s degrees. While pursuing her bachelor’s in psychology, Ms. Flores became a trained crisis counselor and volunteered her services during Hurricane Katrina. She also served in the Greater Baton Rouge area as a licensed clinician at a child and family counseling center. During this time, she received additional training in treating grief and bereavement and also led a grief therapy group within the community.
