Eliza McManus, Ph.D.

Dr. Eliza McManus is a licensed psychologist who currently resides in Minneapolis, MN and works full-time at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center on their trauma-recovery outpatient team.

She is licensed in Louisiana and available to see patients at CBT New Orleans over secure video technology. She is experienced in using CBT and ACT to address a number of mental health conditions in adults. In particular, Dr. McManus has experience treating trauma-related disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, insomnia, and adjustment issues.

She also is experienced working with veterans and their spouses, LQBTQ individuals, and trauma-exposed populations.

Dr. McManus earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Western Michigan University where she learned Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her area of research was sexual trauma and she presented her research at regional, national, and international conferences. She then completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Hospital with an emphasis in the assessment and treatment of trauma-related disorders. She completed her post-doctoral residency at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Hospital with an emphasis in treatments to address exposure to sexual trauma. Dr. McManus uses a collaborative style and a cognitive behavioral perspective to help clients meet their therapy goals.
